We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Non-Executive Chairman and new Non-Executive Directors. Lord Davies of Abersoch has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman. Dr Franz B. Humer and James B. Downing join the Board as Non-Executive Directors. Professor John Deanfield, will also head a new Scientific and Technology Advisory Board.

Reuters: UK medical software start-up Cydar brings former Roche head on board
Cydar is pleased to announce that its endovascular 3D surgical guidance software has gained FDA 510(k) clearance. “This FDA clearance is a crucial step in delivering our technology globally”, said Cydar co-founder and CEO Tom Carrell.

Cydar has received a Certificate of Registration to ISO 13485:2003 and EN ISO 13485:2012. Cydar operates a Quality Management System that complies with set requirements for the design, development and provision of web-based image processing software applications, for X-ray guided clinical procedures.
We would like to thank Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Frimley Park Hospital for their hard work through the trial of the Cydar RTRS 1.0. The trial has now closed and we look forward to launching the 3D overlay software following CE mark next month.
